How far in advance do I need to book for a grand opening?
We strongly recommend booking 2 weeks in advance for grand opening weekends, especially in high-volume markets like Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, and Orlando. Grand opening weekends are our most in-demand rental type and specific dates fill up. Standard weekend rentals can be arranged with 2–3 business days notice.
What size blimp do you recommend for a grand opening?
For grand openings, we recommend starting at 18-ft minimum. The additional visibility radius — 4 miles vs. 3 miles for the 13-ft — makes a significant difference on the single most important weekend of your sales cycle. For highway-adjacent communities or major community launches, 25-ft is the right choice.
Can the blimp be printed with our grand opening messaging?
Yes. We can print “Grand Opening,” your builder logo, community name, or any combination on the blimp surface. Custom printing takes 2–3 weeks — another reason to book your grand opening blimp early. Standard color blimps are available with shorter lead times.
What if our grand opening weekend has bad weather?
We brief your on-site contact on weather monitoring before every grand opening. Our polyurethane is rated to 25+ MPH sustained wind. For high-wind events, we can bring the blimp down and re-inflate when conditions improve. We’ve managed grand opening weekends in every type of weather since 1979.
Can we run a blimp for multiple grand opening weekends if the first one is rained out?
